Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) has acknowledged it’s investigating what looks like a worldwide outage of parts of its service.

There’s an irregularity with Twitter application programming interfaces, the company says.

While some parts of the service still load, users in the past hour have reported that tweets are not flowing into timelines.

Shares are -0.1% after hours.

Updated 7 p.m.: The tweets have begun flowing again in some areas.
